Responsible person for cosmetic products on the EU market
Only cosmetic products for which a legal or natural person within the European Union is designated as the "responsible person" are permitted to be placed on the market.
If a client is unfamiliar with EU regulations, which entail certain obligations and responsibilities, or if the client (legal or natural person) is not based in the EU, or for any other reason does not wish to be the responsible person for cosmetic products, a partner of Proteko Cosmetics can assume the role of the responsible person and all obligations defined by Regulation (EU) 1223/2009 on cosmetic products.
THE RESPONSIBLE PERSON IS OBLIGED TO:

Verify the safety assessment and the safety report of the cosmetic product

Maintain the product information file (PIF) for 10 years
- •
Electronically notify cosmetic products to the European Commission (CPNP notification)
- •
Electronically notify cosmetic products containing substances in the form of nanomaterials to the European Commission (CPNP notification)
- •
Ensure the labeling of cosmetic products complies with legal requirements
- •
Collect data on serious undesirable effects of cosmetic products (resulting from the use of the cosmetic product)
